On the initiative of the French Regional Cooperation Services, INA has developed, in partnership with the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF), an online seminar dedicated to film heritage. Organized entirely online in Spanish by the technical and educational teams of INA and FIAF on March 11, 12, 15 and 16, it brought together 46 participants from 9 countries and mobilized 25 French and South American experts.
Supported by the Regional Cooperation Services and co-organized by the International Federation of Film Archives, this event enabled to take a closer look at the challenges of the conservation and enhancement of film heritage. It gave the floor to the main actors of the film heritage of the South American continent and of France.
INA teams used their organizational and educational know-how to fully tailor this event based on a survey carried out among all participants. An alternation of round tables, case studies and feedbacks were organized thanks to the community of speakers from INA and FIAF.
INA, the leading European Center for initial and continuing training in audiovisual and digital media professions, offers its international partners a very wide range of services in this area. They range from training sessions developed "tailor-made", based on the needs of its interlocutors, or extracted directly from its catalog (an exhaustive training offer broken down into 13 streams, carried by 22 permanent educational managers and a community of 350 speakers, all leading professionals in their fields) through consulting or support activities for any more comprehensive training system.
Simultaneously to its activities as an audiovisual and digital media training Center, the Institute continues to provide its partners with its expertise in the management of audiovisual heritage, from preservation to distribution.
The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) is a network of professional institutions specializing in film heritage. It brings together the most eminent players in their field and has more than 150 members and associate institutions located in more than 77 countries. The FIAF publishes research, organizes international events and is particularly active and recognized in the field of training.
