Kawtar Zaher is currently doing her PhD on the subject : Interactive learning of visual object classes for access and discoverability in very large audiovisual archives.
Ina and Inria have developed an initial interactive search prototype that enables users to find images corresponding to their query in a very large corpus. In this thesis, we aim to develop a more efficient interactive search engine capable of retrieving small visual objects or complex visual concepts made up of several objects. Starting from a limited set of examples (between 1 and 10) of the visual concept we're looking for, we want to find the other instances of this concept within a very large corpus of images and/or videos.
